Venus in Eleventh House

VenusVenus: If Venus is lord of the 11th, or in the 11th and dignified or received, it shows that you will enjoy social popularity, and will be invited often to social gatherings. This placement makes the native more mellow and laid back and easy to get along with because other people will tend to have a soothing effect upon the native. This is also a positive indication for financial success. According to Paulus: "When the star of Aphrodite [Venus] has deaings there, it will make for those who are happily married [probably due to the trine with the 7th], decorus, orderly, wanting nothing, and with good fortune as time goes on...". [65] Venus, because it is cool and moist, will tend to blurr distinctions and decrease activity. The blurring of the distinctions makes you think you have more in common with others, therefore making for more harmonious relationships. The cooling effect keeps controversy at bay, but at the same time, makes those with this position slightly less popular than those with Jupiter here. The tendency here is for quieter social gatherings and involvements. But if Venus is in debility here or as lord of this place, or is afflicted, then it may show a tendency to be taken advantage of by "so called friends". There is sometimes the feeling of being used or not being fully appreciated, or it may show awkward alliances.
