Balbillus Method:
The method of Balbillus is very similar to the 129 year system, except that the periods are reduced by it's circular period in days for each degree that a planet is from its exaltation degree. It is most likely a general time lord procedure and because it involves the exaltations it might have something to do with when a person achieves prominence if the chart is eminent.
Schmidt has said that the 129 year system is probably an idealized version of this system.
